Stamp Club Projects!

We had Stamp Club yesterday so ofcourse it's time to update my blog! This month is all about the Shimmer Paints! We used Shimmer Paints 3 ways, as an ink, as an overlay and as a mist. I LOVE the effect that it gives I just wish it would photograph better!

This card is a CASE from Splitcoast. Using Dasher Stamp Set and Bashful Blue paper. We used the Champagne Shimmer Paint as a mist on this one.

This one uses the Christmas Cocoa Designer Paper. I love love love the flocked paper in that paper pack! His antlers are done in the platinum shimmer paint.
This is a corner bookmark. We used the Christmas Cocoa paper again with the Snowflake from the Snow Swirled Stamp Set. We used the Champagne Shimmer as an overlay on the real red ink.

Stamp club is great fun!! If you're looking for a fun creative outlet you should join us!

NOT a card post :)

I know usually I post cards but I have become addicted to thriftydecorchick's blog and she has inspired me to get my fall decor out. I went on Better Homes and Garden's this morning and saw this
http://www.bhg.com/videos/m/21895639/pumpkin-centerpiece.htm

Well I knew I had to try it but I didn't want to use fresh flowers. So Mom and I hit Michael's today and picked up some pretty floral stems and a carvable pumpkin.
Here is what I started with:

And here is the finished project. Isn't it pretty?? And the best part was it was CHEAP ;)

It will either sit on my kitchen table or my fireplace mantle. I haven't decided yet.

September Stamp Club

Stamp Club was yesterday so I can show you the projects now :)

This is the Mummy Kit Kat holder if you follow the Chic n Scratch link
over there -----> you will find Angie's video tutorial for this adorable kit
kat holder! This one is a cracked glass Halloween Card. We used the Haunting Hill wheel and the Glassy Glaze powder to create this really neat effect. I didn't realize how much 11 people would use and I ran out on the last person-darn it! She was very understanding though :)

And this last one uses the Twick or Treat Stamp Set and the Cast a Spell Designer Paper. I love it!We also used the Haunting Hill wheel to accent the old olive paper.

I am going to challenge myself to update my blog more often. I can't believe how long it's been since I updated this!!

Have a great day!

Jenn Tagged Me

Jenn tagged me so I had no choice but to update my blog :) Here was her challenge.

So here's how it works...Go to the 10th folder on your wonderful little computer and post the 10th picture in that folder and explain the picture! NO CHEATING! (Feel free to tag some peeps if you'd like to keep the randomness going!).

And here is my picture. After seeing Relo's nifty duster slippers I had to have some! I rushed to Bed Bath and Beyond with my coupon in hand and got some cute green ones. As soon as I got them out of the bag the littleset blueberry had them on and was dusting! He is such a man-it's all about the tools :)

Mojo Monday Week 90

One good thing about having to get up early this morning to go to the car dealership was I got home in plenty of time to do a little stamping. I can't believe I am actually completing a Mojo Monday sketch on Monday! It's shocking! Here is the link for the sketch

http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/2009/06/mojo-monday-week-90.html

And here is my take on it.

This is my Dad's Father's Day card. He is a horseman so I had to dust off the retired Bareback Stamp Set for him. I clear embossed the background and the Dad is cut from Sizzlet letters (I need some smaller stamp fonts mine were to big).

Have a great week!

I am LOVING this Mojo Monday! Here is the link to this week's sketch

http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/2009/05/mojo-monday-week-87.html

And here is my take on it.I used my scallop circle punch to create a "faux" prima flower the great thing about using the punch is that it matches your paper perfectly!
Paper is Pink Pirouette,Basic Grey,Whisper White and the Pink Pirouette Patterns DSP.
The brad is from the SU Filigree Brad Set

If anyone has any tips on photographing cards I'd love to have them. I am not very good at it :-).

Have a great week!

May Stamp Club

I'm updating my blog it MUST be time for Stamp Club :) Yep you guessed it Stamp club is Saturday so today I came up with these cards/projects using the Fifth Avenue Floral Stamp Set.

The next 2 use the Watercolor Roses tecnique. Follow the link over there ---> to Patty's Stamping Spot and she'll show you how to do it (or come to Stamp Club and I'll show you how).
I just got the Sizzix Little Leaves Die I am LOVING it! This one is adapted from one Patty has on her site.

This is the Flower Pot card that's so popular right now on Splitcoast-I thought it made a perfect Mother's day card! Terrible picture but you get the idea :)

And our hostess this month is Kathleen so these are her hostess gifts. I am waiting to color the Many Thanks with my Watercolor Pencils that will be here today.

Thanks for stopping by! If you'd like to join us we'd love to have you!

April Stamp Club

Well you knew I'd update for this right??? Some of the gals wanted to learn about the Stampin Up Wheels so all of Saturday's projects will be Wheel projects. There is a definite learning curve to it for sure :)

Our first project is a great box that fits up to 4 cards and envelopes. It uses the Baroque Border and the color is Bashful Blue. I used my Sidekick to cut out the initial.

Next is a cute little card. That uses the Fun and Fast Notes and the Always wheel

And last I LOVE this card! It uses the dot from the Sweet Always Paper Pack and the Friend Jumbo Wheel. We'll be learning how to fill an uninked cartridge for this one.

You have GOT to try this recipe!

On Wednesday night we always do a crock pot meal. We are so busy on Wednesday evenings with church that I don't have time for supper. I happened upon Robin Miller's show on Food Network and she was using a slow cooker and made this chicken gumbo. Ya'll it is the best thing that has come out of my crock pot in a looong time! You must try it!

I have the best friends!

Do you have girlfriends that you just love? These are mine. We are a mish mash of people a Doctor,a Worship Leader, a Homeschool Mom, a PTA activist, and SAHM but when we get together it is tons of laughter and LOTS of great food! There are actually 8 of us but the five of us are the travelers-we leave the kids with the husbands and hit the road. This weekend we are headed to Big Canoe for a scrapbooking retreat. I will miss Daddy blueberry and the kiddos but it is wonderful to go away and scrapbook with friends. I am so blessed to have a husband that will hold down the fort so I can go away with my friends and "reboot".

March Stamp club is coming up Saturday!

This Saturday we meet for Stamp Club. I never update my blog unless it's time for Stamp Club anymore-LOL! This month's theme is Crazy for Cupcakes! That's the set we'll be using. We will be coloring all the images using a blender pen and Stampin Pastels.

This is a money holder. It is a flat card-the second pacific point layer is adhered to a 3x3 envelope. You can find Dawn's tutorial for it in her archieves (follow the link -> to Dawn's Stampin' Studio). I wanted to do a boy option.

This one uses the Always Desinger Paper. And the large cupcake-I love this stamp!

And another one from Dawn. This is a Spring card. She has a link on You Tube that she'll walk you through it.

These are the hostess gifts for Relo. The smaller cards are 3 x3 I just love these little cards!

February Stamp Club

Here are our projects for Stamp Club. You can find these projects and more at www.splitcoaststampers.com
First we used the Versamark Ink and the Stampin Pastels to get this watercolored effect. The stamp set is Inspired By Nature.

We used our leftover chipboard to create these 4 x 4 squares and added a tear away calender to the front and a magnet to the back. The paper shown is not what we used. We used the Urban Designer paper. The ones for club turned out much cuter!

And my favorite card of the day. We used the baja breeze ink for our silhouette and Elegant Cheer for our sentiment. The paper are Urban Designer, Red Riding Hood Red, and Chocolate Chip

It's been a while since I updated here-trying to upload pictures everyday was getting tough! I am keeping up with the Project 365 and taking pictures everyday.Big Daddy Money Bags bought me a new laptop/photoshop this weekend so I only have a few on this computer here's a little share :)

Project 365 Day 10 and 11

Okay now we'll be caught up :)

This is day 10's picture
This is the middle blueberry at his very first Basketball Game. He would run across the court with a huge smile on his face. He LOVES basketball!!!

This is the big blueberry today, day 11. 1/11 was her due date 14 years ago. She's a little punny today so the girl's are at home while the boys are at Waffle House with their grandparents.

Project 365 Day 8 and 9

I have not missed a day TAKING the pictures but I've missed days blogging the pics :)

This is a picture of the little blueberry on his maiden voyage on his "big blue bike" We would let him ride in the house but he didn't have a helmet so once we got his helmet he was out the door and on his bike! Just a side note can you even imagine how incredibly hard it is to NOT take a vertical picture!

This is a picture of our church. Friday we spent A LOT of time there. First we had co-op that morning came home and had lunch and then it was back to church for Basketball Practice. The Recreation Director says he's going to move a cot in for me I'm there so much :)
